The project won gold in the "Brand Experience and Activation" category under "Marketing," silver in the "Ideas" category for "Print and Outdoor Advertising" and "Creative Use of Print Materials" under "Media," and bronze in the "Strategy" category.
As part of the Xavfsiz Harakat project, shopping bags with reflective elements were developed to make adult and child pedestrians more visible on the roads. GROSS Insurance, the Uzum team, the Tashkent City Police Department, and the Vazari marketing agency held a series of events for schoolchildren where they taught road safety rules and gave children bags with pedestrian crossing symbols. On June 1st, all visitors to Uzum Market pickup points who came with children received the shopping bags as a gift.
"Road safety is one of the most pressing issues in our country. GROSS, as an insurance company, covers the costs for car repairs in case of accidents. Unfortunately, we cannot return a person's health who has been injured in a road accident. In line with business social responsibility principles, we launched a large project in 2023 to promote road safety and improve the urban environment. Today, the Xavfsiz Harakat social project proves that with the joint efforts of caring people, businesses, and the government, we can do a lot for a comfortable and safe life," said Kamoliddin Beknazarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of GROSS Insurance.
"The Tashkent City Police Department strongly supported the initiative and became a co-organizer of the Xavfsiz Harakat social project to ensure state-level support. This cooperation aims at providing mutual assistance in preventing road traffic accidents in Tashkent. After all, following the simplest rules will help save the lives and health of many people, prevent families from suffering tragedies, and preserve the lives of parents, spouses, friends, and loved ones," said Lieutenant Colonel Nilufar Isakhanova, Press Secretary of the Tashkent City Police Department and Head of the Information Multimedia Center.
"The project has become an important part of our mission to introduce creative solutions to social problems. We are proud that our work received recognition at the Red Jolbors festival. This project shows that creativity and responsibility can go hand in hand, helping to save lives on the roads," noted Farrukh Sharif, Director of the "Sintez" agency.
"The Uzum Market team has built a massive infrastructure across the country, and this infrastructure can and should help people, making simple tasks easier and safer. Even if this task is crossing the road, which, according to traffic accident statistics, is not always so simple," said Maria Skorik, Director of External Communications and ESG Projects at Uzum. "Together with colleagues from 'Sintez' and GROSS, we tried to contribute to the safety of both children and adults, and Uzum Market took on ensuring the availability of shopping bags and their delivery across the country."
"It is gratifying to see that the Xavfsiz Harakat project is gaining more attention. This means that more and more drivers are realizing the importance of following traffic rules, becoming more attentive to pedestrians and other road users. But the Xavfsiz Harakat project doesn't stop here! Many important steps are planned, each bringing us closer to safer roads and saving lives," shared Veronika Komarova, Managing Partner of the VAZARI company.
Xavfsiz Harakat is a large-scale social project promoting road safety. The project's events aim to raise awareness about traffic issues such as the organization of safe pedestrian crossings, improving driving culture, ensuring passenger safety, and creating a comfortable urban environment. The project was launched by GROSS Insurance in partnership with the Tashkent City Police Department, the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzum, the "Sintez" creative agency, and the media (My5 — Mening yurtim TV channel, Renessans TV, Platina.uz). The project is led by the VAZARI marketing agency. Since its launch in October 2023, the total outreach of the project has exceeded 12 million people.
Key events of the Xavfsiz Harakat project include:
● The "Signs" campaign: Information about road signs that are most often ignored, leading to traffic accidents, displayed on LED screens across the country.
● Reflective shopping bags with pedestrian crossing signs: Xavfsiz Harakat helped schoolchildren become more visible on the roads.
● Star support: Specially for Xavfsiz Harakat, Anvar Juraev and rapper Konsta recorded the single "Yashagim kelar" and filmed a video with people who survived a car accident.
● "Happy letters": Special car insurance conditions for drivers who have not violated traffic rules for a year.
● International Tashkent Marathon: The Xavfsiz Harakat project supported the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation and awarded valuable prizes to winners and gifts to participants in the Kids Run, Nordic Walking, and athletes with disabilities.
● Children's Day: At 34 Uzum Market pickup points in Tashkent, children who came with parents to pick up orders received reflective shopping bags as a gift.
● 100-kilometer walk across Tashkent to raise awareness of pedestrian safety.
Jolbors Festival is one of the leading advertising festivals in Central Asia, gathering representatives from the creative industries of CIS countries annually.
Healthcare is one of the most important priorities for anyone. Given the state of modern medicine in Uzbekistan, many people are wondering whether they should rely solely on state institutions or consider additional measures of protection. One such solution is voluntary medical insurance (VMI).
The social project implemented by the insurance company GROSS, the national marketplace Uzum Market, marketing company Vazari, and agency Synthesis — as part of the road safety campaign Xavfsiz Harakat — has been awarded gold at international creative industry festivals KIAF (Kyiv, Ukraine) and White Square (Minsk, Belarus).
Sooner or later, every motorist faces the need to take out an insurance policy. This can be either compulsory motor third-party liability insurance, without which you cannot drive on public roads, or voluntary comprehensive insurance, designed to protect your property.
Insurance is one of the most important tools for protecting personal and financial well-being. It provides a sense of security for the future and helps to avoid serious losses in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Travel is not only about inspiration, new experiences and a long-awaited holiday, but also a potential risk zone. Even the most well-planned trip can be disrupted by sudden illness, injury or lost luggage.
